How your cross is calculated
An brings four together. Two come from the moment you were born: the gate holding the Sun, and the gate straight across the wheel holding the Earth. These are your conscious Sun and Earth. The other two come from the moment the Sun stood 88 degrees earlier on its path, about three months before your birth: your unconscious Sun and Earth.
The name of the cross depends on two things: the gate of your conscious Sun, and your angle. The angle comes from . Profiles 1/3, 1/4, 2/4, 2/5, 3/5, 3/6 and 4/6 give a , profile 4/1 a Juxtaposition, and profiles 5/1, 5/2, 6/2 and 6/3 a .
Why there is a numeral after the name
One name can belong to several crosses. In the there are four of them, one per quarter of the wheel, numbered I to IV according to the quarter your conscious Sun falls in. In the there are two: I when your conscious Sun is in the first half of the wheel, II in the second. A Juxtaposition never carries a numeral, its name is its own. So the numeral is part of the name, and it is what leads you to the right page.
If you don’t know your birth time
Your cross can change within a single day: when the Sun moves from one gate to the next, or when changes, and your angle with it.
