Unsure about your birth place, or wondering what it actually changes? Enter your date, your time and a city: the simulator works out your Body Graph for every time zone in the world and tells you how wrong your birth place can be before your chart shifts. You will also see the offset that really applied on the day you were born, daylight saving and historical changes included. Free: all you need is an account, and that is free too.
What your birth place really changes
In a , the place of birth matters for one reason only: the time zone. Human Design uses neither houses nor an Ascendant, so latitude and longitude play no part anywhere in the calculation. Two cities in the same time zone give exactly the same chart, down to the gate and the line.
That sounds counter-intuitive, which is precisely why this tool exists: it shows you instead of asking you to take our word for it. If you are torn between two neighbouring towns, you leave knowing your chart does not move. If you were born near a time zone border, you see exactly what tips over.
The trap of summer time and old time zones
The offset in force on the day you were born is not necessarily today’s. Daylight saving, new laws and abandoned time zones have shifted the legal time of many countries over the decades. The United Kingdom, for instance, ran double summer time during the Second World War, and stayed on summer time all year round from 1968 to 1971.
The simulator reads the offset for the exact moment of your birth, not for today’s date. That is often the first surprise: many people find out that their city was not on the same offset in the year they were born.
When the place matters, and when it does not
It all depends on where your birth time falls. If it is far from a switch, your chart stays the same across several time zones in a row: even a mistake of thousands of kilometres changes nothing. If it falls close to a switch, a single hour of offset is enough to change , , , or your Cross.
The simulator spells that band out for you: between which offsets your chart stays identical, and from what gap it starts to change. It also flags the misleading case, where the five markers hold while some have already moved.
Place or time: which doubt to clear first
The two doubts look alike, but they are not handled the same way. A wrong place always comes down to a whole number of hours or half hours, whereas a wrong time can be a matter of minutes. If you are unsure of both, start with the place: its answer is clearer, and it narrows the range of hours you will have left to explore.

What a different time zone changes
At the same local time, a birth in another time zone happens at a different moment. Across 5,000 births drawn at random, the table shows how many Body Graphs change depending on the gap between the two zones.
| Element | 1 h | 3 h | 6 h | 9 h |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Type | 2.4% | 7.1% | 13.7% | 19.3% |
| Authority | 2.0% | 6.1% | 11.4% | 16.2% |
| Profile | 8.4% | 25.6% | 39.0% | 52.3% |
| Definition | 3.6% | 11.3% | 21.1% | 30.3% |
| Incarnation Cross | 2.1% | 6.7% | 11.1% | 15.6% |
With a nine-hour gap, the one between Paris and Los Angeles, the type changes for 19.3% of births and the cross for 15.6%.
